Position Summary

As a Behavior Technician (BT), you will provide in-home and community-based ABA therapy to childrens, adolescents and adults, helping them build essential skills and reduce challenging behaviors using evidence-based strategies. You’ll implement individualized treatment plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), collect behavior and skill acquisition data, and contribute meaningfully to each client’s progress.

Schedule Requirements

  • Must be available Monday to Friday between 3:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

  • Saturdays between 8:00am and 2:00pm preferred but not required

  • Must commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week

These hours reflect the peak need for client services — consistency and reliability during this time block are essential for client progress and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in the home, school, or community settings

  • Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the BCBA

  • Accurately record and report session data using electronic data collection tools

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions

  • Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding client progress in team meetings and trainings

  • Build rapport and create fun, engaging session environment

  • Uphold HIPAA’s ethical and professional standards at all times

  • Previous experience with individuals with autism or special needs is a plus — whether through school, work, volunteering, or personal connections

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field is preferred but not required

  • Candidates with relevant experience in ABA or working with individuals with developmental disabilities will also be considered

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Reliable personal transportation

  • Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance

  • Ability to travel to and from client homes and/or community settings (drive time included)

  • Must complete all onboarding steps and attend a paid initial training period

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities

  • Must obtain criminal background clearance (reimbursement provided)

  • Must provide proof of a negative TB test (reimbursement provided)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to engage in physical activity with children, including sitting on the floor, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and moving quickly as needed to support client safety

  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally

  • Comfort working in home environments that may vary in setup, noise level, and distractions
